The 25th anniversary of the opening of Parliament House occurs in 2013.
The theme for the 25th anniversary is 'Celebrating threads of our nation'. Under this theme, the anniversary celebrates the artists, designers and crafts people who produced the commissioned art and craft work in Parliament House and the internal fit out and fabric of the building. It also celebrates the contribution of thousands of people in Parliament House since 1988.
The anniversary recognises the development of the building since its opening and the many ways in which this meeting place brings together the diverse threads of our nation.
Events for the anniversary will be held at Parliament House throughout the year.
